This project is meant to show the use of Microsoft Word in creating visual aids for students. In this assignment, we created a Venn diagram, used to compare and contrast, and a concept map used to visually define an idea. The attached graphic organizers are designed for students writing subject, and the topic is compare and contrast between two different things, such as a banana and a Hershey’s candy bar. Students will recognize connecting chains between the two items, and the variety of compare and contrast situations between two things, and they will write down their observations on the paper. These projects are created for 4th grade class, and are used with the attached lesson plan. This related to NJ State Standard 3.2 (writing) all students will write in clear, concise, organized language that varies in content and form for different audiences and purposes.
